East District Mixed Pairs event for the McGregor Cup

The McGregor Cup is being held at the Melville Bridge Club, Edinburgh on Friday November 20th starting at 6.45pm and finishing between 10.00 and 10.30pm.  It is an ‘open event’ meaning that people from other districts may enter.

This is always a friendly, enjoyable tournament with prizes for the winners and runners-up plus the best Silver and Bronze pairs.  Between 24-27 boards will be played.

Put the date in your diary and find yourself a partner.

Payment of £15 per pair is taken at the time of booking.

New Melville Bridge Club Congress

Join us at the New Melville Bridge Club in Edinburgh for our 2026 Christmas Congress.

Held over two days, the congress includes a Swiss Pairs on Monday 28 December and a Swiss Teams on Tuesday 29 December, with prize categories for Silver and Bronze competitors as well as the overall winners.

Both events are designed to offer a full day of competitive bridge in a welcoming club environment.

Schedule

Play starts at 11 am on both days and is expected to finish by 8.30 pm each day.

There will be a break for a meal at the half way stage each day. Meals must be ordered in advance. Entry forms and food orders, which must be paid for in advance, can be found on the club website.

The entry fee is £15 per person per day.
